Good Afternoon homemakers! It’s around 1pm here in my city. My babies are all napping, hubby too! My oldest is at the gym making sure he is physically fit for zero-hour band practice. I have been working on a project all morning, but now it’s time to handle family business!
May I be honest? Because the house is so quiet, I really want to curl up on the couch with my favorite throw, eat an apple turnover and watch Snapped! Duty calls though. Remember my rule about grocery shopping on Sundays? Yes, I almost broke my own rule. Our commissary here on base closes at 3pm, so that actually works in my favor to kick it into high gear and get busy. I felt the need to show just how human I am, and I am no different than you! It takes a lot of discipline for me to sacrifice my relaxing time and get to work. My other rule is to NOT grocery shop blindly. I need to sit down and meal plan. Then I will make my list and head out to shop. Don’t get me wrong, I am still eating an apple turnover and watching Snapped, but I am picking out the recipes that I will prepare for my family for the upcoming week.
Aside from my weekly dinners, I need to also plan for this upcoming week being “back to school” week. I am caught in a situation with Elijah and Jeremiahs times being a bit off. I will have to change when Jerry goes to school to math up with Elijah’s. The only issue is the boys will miss breakfast now. SO I have to get creative with breakfast ideas.
I thought I should check on everyone to see if I could encourage a little motivation, I know I can use it! Sometime we must remind ourselves the only way to get things done is to just bite the bullet and do it. Sunday’s are busy enough and for me, shopping is just going to take too much time out of our schedule. Bye for now and I’ll check in with you tomorrow to see how things are going preparing for the upcoming week. Don’t forget, you can do other things today to get them out of the way for tomorrow! Enjoy your day and your family today.
